Core office hours start this week view story

http://drupal.org – Drupal core needs more eyes and more contributors to decrease the very high amount of unresolved issues. We're going to hold the first core "office hours" this week in #drupal-contribute on freenode: Tuesday, 04:00 UTC Wednesday, 16:00 UTC Depending on how this goes, we may continue these slots weekly (with a break for DrupalCon). Why office hours? There are currently a large number of unresolved issues in the core queue, and we want to get more organised dealing with the backlog, and encourage new people to help out. Drupal 7.7 released view story

http://drupal.org – Drupal 7.5, a maintenance release which fixes security vulnerabilities is now available for download. Drupal 7.6 7.7 also fixes other issues reported through the bug tracking system. Note: Drupal 7.7 is just Drupal 7.6 with a fixed VERSION string (7.6 was reporting itself as 7.5). No other changes. Download Drupal 7.7 Upgrading your existing Drupal 7 sites is strongly recommended. There are no new features in these releases. This way of self-organizing allows people of like minds to flock together in their motley way spontaneously sprung from the confines of the well architected schedule which didn’t quite fit their needs. It’s a testament to the efforts of conference organizers at DrupalCon that they can field submissions from such a large number of presenters striving to satisfy the needs of thousands of people with wildly popular sessions. In Copenhagen, rooms were filled to the brim with eager listeners, and even afterwards people seek out the recordings of the sessions they missed. It’s an ideal opportunity to broadcast the latest and greatest in Drupal.
