what is different between rss ping and rss submission?

some suggest me build rss feed with backlink page, and submit the feed to feed direction, but how will this help index backlink page? google will crawl feed directories freqently and find your backlink page? does link at rss feed count as a backlinks? but i found google index many post of my blog but not index my feed. http://www.dvdrippingsoftware.org/feed/ this is my feed.

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but I have the statpress plugin on my Wordpress site and I was wondering what the feed stat exactly means? Is it the # of people who have subscribed to your feed that day? Also if your feed is submitted to an feed aggregator does it create a backlink? Thanks and again sorry if this is a stupid question

Sitemap.xml to RSS Feed

I am looking for a PHP script that will convert the sitemap.xml file into an RSS feed. Ideally it would have a login and post to all of the free RSS aggregators that don't require a login. Of course I'd like the page titles, descriptions and page content integrated into the RSS feed. Anyone heard of this? If not, can anyone out there write it for me? I'm willing to pay for it. Does anyone know of a script that I can use to create an RSS feed like that for that specified directory?
