Easy way to get on Google's first page

To get on Google's first page for my search term, is this all I have to do: 1. find out how many times my competitors have used my search term, and outnumber them. 2. find out how many inbound links my competitors have from influential sites, and try to match that by purchasing links. Of course, there are on-site things I must have in place. The tags, the copywriting, etc. But if I do these well, can I do #1 and #2 above and get on the 1st page of Google? Also, which SEO service is best for analyzing my competitors' keywords & back links?

Why am I not seeing a Page Rank Increase?

I’m more than a bit curious why I am not seeing page rank increases for my site http://www.aneurysmsupport.com/ The site has been online since last December and achieved page rank 1 around February or March. According to Yahoo Site explorer it has around 1500 back links, a fair amount of content, and has been updated regularly. There are few external links and no ads. The content is original and of, I think, good quality. I really expected an increase by now. Anyone have any thoughts?

Is domain age THAT important to Google ????

I'm trying to rank a new site (nearly 2 months old) , for a keyword that returns 94 millions results on Google. I made my homework and manually checked all sites on first page (links, age, onpage SEO, etc.) I made onpage SEO for my website and I started to build links 6 weeks ago. Now I have much more backlinks than my competitors and links from higher PR pages as well but I'm still nowhere to be found, so the only diference between my website and first 10 sites for that keyword is just the age of the domain. Do you think it matters that much?????

From Page 7 to Nothing?

Hi there everyone, I had been working out for quite a few back links now and 2-3 days earlier I am very glad that my site reach Page 7 on Google Search in just creating less than 100 back links but suddenly this morning I was wondering why my website is now gone on Page 7 nor in any pages on Google Search. Just wanna ask why is this happening? Thanks ahead.

What is a page?

I was just looking over some webtool stats. According to what Google says about this site, I have 800 internal links to this one page. The page that is ALWAYS linked right beside it has 150 links. First, I don't even have 800 pages in that site. Even being liberal, that particular 'page' is only linked to one time on every final render of a page. I don't know where that number even came from. Secondly, there are no static pages on so many sites. Every 'page' on this site links once to my privacy policy, and once to the home. Yet Google tells me that my site links back to its own privacy statement 800 times, and 80 times to it's home. Ah well, many of Google's remote reporting things are totally wonked out IMO.

reciprocal l Links

Many SEO strategies revolve around Page Rank and/or ONE way back links. I too subscribe to this as a paramount way to obtaining optimal results. However, I have seen a site that has many reciprocal links as ranks high for many key word terms. The SEO I believe he is using also touts ONLY rec. links, any ideas or thoughts on how important or not theses links really are? Thanks James

Problem with indexing

I have 2 weeks old site and 5 of its 10 pages are indexed, but the homepage is not on of the indexed pages. I have about 500 links pointing to the index page of the website(according to yahoo site explorer). Is this is a reason to worry about or I must just wait homepage to be indexed?
