Hi,

I´ve developed my html pages with simple html, and when I jump from page to page, the url address on the address bar is always the same.. How can I change it so that the url of the page I´m on can appear?

This is really making me mad.

The domain name is: www.contraposta.pt
Try to click on any link, the new page loads but the address on the bar remains the same!

I hope anyone can help me :)

I am a newbie and was designing a feature and needed some help. Wondering if i can get some help here. Here is the scenario.

I have a website which has an Add Page. In the Add Page, customers can add address details and other information.

Sometimes the customers might want to select an address from the existing address database. I have a button on the Add Page, which opens a new window which displays the addresses which can be used. When the customer selects an Address and clicks on the USE button, an POST is done to a new Add Page which displays the address.

Hi.I do the website for a local club and have been asked to mask an email address so that people contact them using one email address, via an email link on the site, but it actually goes to another address entirely, so the sender does not see the email address of the contact person. In the words of the person who asked me to do this, alter the contact information to the generic "enquiries@ ....", with a discrete internal re-routing to Grahams real email address". I assume they mean that "enquiries@ ...." is not actually a real email address, though I dont really know. The arent being very clear.I am not sure what he means or if it is possible and I got nowhere Googling it.

I would like to know if this a good commenting technique for building backlinks to a website. Ok the trick i'm trying to use is to include my competitors name together with my own Eg. If i were to comment on a particular subject where i have to list related website i intend om mentioning my competitors (who are ranked higher than i am) as well as my own so that it doesn't appear too spammy.

Would this trick help to improve my ranking being that i associate my site with higher ranking competitors in that same niche??

How many maximum backlinks should I get from a single website? I know that getting too many backlinks from a single website is not going to benefit much.

I have an option to get either 10 baclinks or 30 backlinks from a website (ALL PR 3 pages), I am just wondering which package should I go with?

URLs WITHOUT .html Extensions Are Not Working... 20 weeks 5 days ago

I was testing my website and I just realized that this url doesn't load in the browser without the .html extension typed into the address bar. So, in short, this URL works but this URL does not. This site is hosted by GoDaddy.com (I hope that's not the problem). I registered the website yesterday.

I have another website that is hosted by Yahoo and all of the page URLs work whether or not the ".html" extension is typed into the address bar. I hope it's not the hosting service that's making a difference. Anyone know what's wrong and why?

My question is whether the ip address is unique in the world at that particular time and points only to you.

There is a web analytics package out there called leadlander.

It's quite good for business to business. It tells you who is visiting your website. So if you work in an industry where client aquisition is a high cost, because you know somebody at company X has visited your website, but not actually contacted you / made a transaction. You can pick up the phone and be a bit proactive and land extra sales.

The visitor must have a static IP address.

I am just wondering how leadlander gets the company name data from an IP address.

Is is simply because they have a database of business IP addresses mapped against who the company is.

Or is there another way...some kind of look up, a resource.

How could i do a website so that if a visitior comes from the uk they get an english language version of the webiste, but of they come from Russia they get a Russian version of the website?

Is it possible to redirect by ip address? Or are there better ways of doing this? If anyone knows of some good resource for this stuff cheers
