Hi, First of all, please excuse my ignorance of JQuery(and coding in general) - Although I hastily grab plugins and try to use them, I really do appreciate them, and also the help you may provide me with my problem! My problem is this - I was looking for a simple and effective slideshow to use in a website I was making. SimpleSli.de(http://www.simplesli.de/) was exactly what I was looking for. It works great when it works but sometimes when I load the page it kind of doesn't work. I don't know what is going on but only approximately 50 pixels of the slideshow is visib

Slideshow with Dynamic retrieving pictures using PHP not working

I am trying to make the following Slideshow work, "Cut & Paste Full Screen Image Slideshow (w/ auto read images from directory)" (http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/...ow/index.shtml) and it will just not show any picture. I followed carefully all the instructions but I am now wondering if I have to do anything in particular in my web/php server for it to work, or do I have to have a particular server for it to honour the php file. I am using the very old OmniHTTPd web server that works fine otherwise and have insured that PHP 5 is installed on it. Any tips would be appreciated.

Slideshow Flashes on Page Load

Hi, I am a novice going through Jquery:Novice to Ninja and was trying the cross fade slideshow from Ch 4 on ie8. It works well but the pictures flash through initially as the page loads. I have tried variations of .hide(),.addClass(), and .css('zIndex') to prevent this without success and have gone back to plain javascript. I would appreciate any suggestions.
