I am giving serious thought to downloading an auto or semi tool for directory submission. I know the common and accepted wisdom is to do manual submission and I have always subscribed to that but recently I am just not that certain. Plus, I simply do not have the time for all the directory submissions I need to make.

I have been using an online tool, Easy Submits and, to be honest, I get just about as many new back links added there as with manual submission. The problem is, I have already gone through the 400 odd directories they have and need to submit to many more directories.

i mean how much weightage should be given to particular SEO activity to get our page ranked high i.e how many directory submission, S.bookmarking, Blogs , article and so on... should b submitted daily.?

There are two type of webmasters, some are now against directory submissions. But now google does not count directories as much as before, but they are still having value i think.

As you know article submitting can get you good stable link backs to your site and therefor increase your rank also your articles gain high visibility.
